On 23 September 2011, the invited lecture of Dr. Abdelmoneim Karamalla (Lecture, Faculty of Marine Science & Fishery, Red Sea University, Port Sudan, SUDAN) was held at the Rakuno-gakuen University in Sapporo. He spoke about the “Seagrasses along Sudanese Red Sea Coast”, especially in the case of the seagrass in Port Sudan, based on the detailed data obtained by his field works. We could understand well about the basic information on the seagrass in Port Sudan. Also, we had an animated discussion on problems of the development and management of coastal environments.
